A More Interesting Interview

 

Sometimes I feel it’s asking about the peculiar little things that give you the best idea of a person.  Or of yourself, if you’re feeling introspective and a little imaginative.

And hear me out- they can also make pretty eye opening and interesting discussion topics.  Just add a ‘why?’ onto the ends of everything.

This is why I have a blog, because I have this kind of nonsense rolling around in my head.  And you? If you were conducting an interview, trying to find fascinating little authenticities in your subject, what would you ask?

• What color are you in the big Crayola crayon set?
• What is your favorite flower?
• Where would you go on your honeymoon?
• Who is your favorite muppet on Sesame Street?
• What’s your spirit animal?
• Where do you feel most relaxed?
• If you could choose a fictional world to enter, which would it be?
• What is your favorite thing about yourself?
• Your biggest deal breaker in a relationship?
• If you had to choose five people you know to be trapped on an elevator with, who would they be?
• If you could pick one trait to guarantee in your child, which would it be?
• If there were a sandwich (or other type of food) named after you, what would be on it?
• On that note: favorite ice cream flavor? Favorite fruit? Vegetable?
• What happened in the most recent dream you remember?
• Choose a superpower.
• What is your favorite holiday and why?
• Would you rather be able to read minds or control them?
• If you were a mythical creature, what would you be?
• If you could wake up tomorrow having suddenly become an expert at/in something, what would you pick?
• Which three fictional characters represent you best?
• Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
• What is the meaning of life (according to you)?
• You’re throwing a dinner party. Which five people, from any point in history, would you invite? How would they get along, do you think?
• The one book you would wish for if you were stranded on a desert island?
• What is your worst memory/the lowest point of your life thus far?
• How many children do you want?
• What’s your favorite cereal?
• What date idea would convince you that the person was a keeper?
• Ideally, where would you like to live?
• What mode of transportation are you?
• Your first book is being published tomorrow- what is it about/what genre is it?
