Very Late Links

There’s a lot to say right now, the main thing being that, because of a random five-day weekend (!) I was in Milan until a few hours ago. So all blog posts were postponed (haha, let’s just pretend I’ve been keeping up with a regular posting schedule).  Also it looks like a yogurt in my fridge has gone missing.

So there will be future posts about Milan, but for now I have links crowding my bookshelf section, and it is my plan to dump those on you, as is my weekend ritual.

Friday Links 11/17

I woke up too early for no reason so here’s a links post, on time for once!

Sorry for using up all of your free NYT articles!

Hi all.
Boy has it been an eventful week. I hope you’re well and taking care of yourself in the best ways you can.

There are a bunch of links this week, some just for fun and some about current events. Continue reading “Friday Links 8/18”

Friday Links 7/7

As always when it’s the first links installment of the month, the above photo is my new monthly desktop background (tiled, of course!)
It’s Friday and the weekend and I seem to be living my best life- at least that’s how it feels when things go your way for a few days. I’ve been doing a lot of cooking, found the perfect denim dress (finally!) and have some nice plans for the days ahead (Hopefully involving watching some horse racing! And possibly a film).  And my birthday is coming up! I’ll be 22, which is a nice even palindrome.

There are a lot of potential posts in the offing, which means that I need to gather my thoughts into a more orderly order and then proceed. You may have noticed that my Baby Driver thoughts yesterday were a bit scattered- but I was feeling guilty for not mentioning it, as it’s a really great independent film, and we need more of them.

Let’s get down to business!

Who’s Your Daddy?

13903426_1196879983684933_386877475683616537_n

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dad, dads-to-be, grandfathers, role models, and other guardian-types of the masculine persuasion!
And a very much more specific bucket o’ love to my own cher papa.

There was a change of plans and we went to VO2, a vegan cafe attached to a yoga studio in Cambridge. I know, right?
But it was delicious (I got the North End (minus the olive tapenade)). Continue reading “Who’s Your Daddy?”

Friday Links 6/16

It’s Friday! Which means it’s time for another links post, and somehow June just keeps on slipping by.

What are your plans for this weekend?
I have a visit from my aunt and her new guy (new because I haven’t met him, though they’ve been together for I think over a year). I love Aunt Susan- we’re kind of a lot alike, in how we think.  Do you remember when, growing up, you stopped feeling the disconnect between yourself and adults? And how amazing it was relating to them as actual people (as opposed to caregivers or cousin-argument-arbiters)?
And Sunday is Father’s Day- we’re planning a nice family brunch at The Friendly Toast (which looks delicious- except I can’t for the life of me tell what is vegan and what isn’t). Continue reading “Friday Links 6/16”
